After launching the Mi 11 in China and globally earlier this month, Xiaomi has officially unveiled the successor to the Mi 10 in the Philippines. You may recall that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were made official for the local market in June 2020, more than two months after their international debut.

It didn’t take long for Xiaomi to come out with a follow-up, and so here we are with the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-based device in the country — and easily the fastest Android you can get your hands on right now, both in terms of synthetic tests and real-world use. The Mi 11 is currently the best-performing Android device, according to the Antutu benchmark platform.
Locally, the Mi 11 will be available in only one configuration — 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. So, how much will the phone cost in the Philippines? It is priced at P36,990, which translates to around $761 converted. Your color options are Midnight Gray and Horizon Blue. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that the leather versions of the Mi 11 will officially go on sale here.

The first day of sale is scheduled for the 13th at Xiaomi brand stores on Lazada and Shopee, and offline at Authorized Mi Stores and other recognized retailers. Customers who preorder the Mi 11 from participating stores from March 5 will stand a chance of receiving a free Mi Desktop Monitor worth P5,990 ($123) while those who purchase from Mi Stores during the open sale will get a free Mi Smart Speaker worth P1,990 ($41).
Mi 11 owners can avail themselves of after-sales premium service worth P15,000 ($308) covering two years of extended warranty and a one-time free screen replacement within one year for their new smartphone.

Besides the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, another hallmark feature of the Mi 11 is its triple-camera module on the back headlined by the same Samsung-made 108-megapixel sensor found in the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 10T Pro. Xiaomi Philippines sure took a lot of time discussing the Mi 11’s capabilities on the video front, and we’re excited to see how it refines on Xiaomi’s existing camera modes. For selfies, the latest-gen flagship rocks a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with a wide 27mm equivalent lens in a punch-hole cutout.
The 6.81-inch OLED screen is likewise worth mentioning, as it has a WQHD+ resolution; high refresh and touch-sampling rates of 120Hz and 480Hz, respectively; and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for improved drop protection. The Mi 11 is the first Xiaomi handset with a 2K panel operating at 120Hz.
Charging the Xiaomi Mi 11’s 4,600mAh battery backup should be fast, because the phone supports wired charging up to 55 watts and 50-watt wireless charging. We can also confirm that variants sold in the Philippines will include a 55-watt GaN charger, unlike its Chinese counterpart. Stay tuned for our review of the smartphone.
