Following the launch of the Realme X7 and X7 Pro 5G smartphones in India, could the fast-rising technology brand announce the Narzo 30 series alongside some gaming accessories, including a mouse and mouse pad, next? That’s more than likely at this point.

(February 17: Here’s an update: This could be the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G phone.)

But what we’re most excited about is the rumored Realme Narzo 30 Pro, which — if the latest reports are anything to go by — might be the company’s cheapest 5G device in the country yet. Yes, cheaper than X7, which is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset with a 5G modem and priced at ₹19,999 (around P13,226 or $275 converted) at Indian retail.

In a recent tweet, Realme India and Europe’s CEO Madhav Sheth asked if they should offer 5G smartphones that are “even more economical” than the X7. Obviously, the statement is rhetorical, but it does tease the strong likelihood that at least one handset in the Narzo 30 series — our money is on the Narzo 30 Pro — is going to cost less than the base model in the X7 series and most 5G handsets out there.

He also shared six box-design renders for the Narzo 30 and asked his followers to vote for their favorite retail packaging through a Google form, with a brand-new Narzo phone on the line for one lucky participant. In an interview, Sheth told Indian Express that half the phones Realme will launch in India in 2021 will support 5G networks and those priced above ₹20,000 (P13,232 or $275) will use a 5G chipset.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro has been previously spotted on China’s TENAA regulatory website with the model number RMX3161. Though it was not released in the Philippines, last year’s Narzo 20 Pro was RMX2161.

According to the listing, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro packs a 6.5-inch, punch-hole LCD; quad lenses on the back; and a 4,880mAh battery backup. It doesn’t include any information about the screen’s refresh rate, but it should be 90Hz or 120Hz, up from the standard 60Hz.

Realme’s 65-watt SuperDart charging could be on the specs sheet as well, same as on the Narzo 20 Pro’s. As for the Realme UI version, expect the next Narzo to run Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
