Just yesterday, Digital Walker, the official exclusive distributor of OnePlus devices and accessories in the Philippines, confirmed the local launch of the OnePlus 8T, which debuted earlier this week on the global stage.
At the time, it wasn’t specified when the middle-end phone, which sits between the OnePlus Nord and flagship OnePlus 8 Pro, will be available in the country.
But earlier today, Digital Walker announced an online pre-sale event for the OnePlus 8T happening tomorrow, October 17, until October 19 at the Home Office online store. The latest OnePlus model is priced at around P29,990 (around $616).
If you’re looking for a more attractive form factor, you might want to consider getting the OnePlus 7T Pro or OnePlus 8 instead. Both are P5,000 ($103) off and priced at P30,990 ($637) until October 31 at participating stores online and offline.
Nevertheless, that’s a quite tempting OnePlus 8T offer considering the smartphone will set you back $749 (P36,458) in the U.S., albeit with more RAM and native storage. The local unit that will be up for preorder comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and the color option is limited to Lunar Silver.
Early adopters will enjoy free shipping nationwide, 18 months warranty from the manufacturer through Digital Walker, and 2,000 Home Office loyalty points customers can use on their next purchase. The current shipping estimate is seven to 14 days after the preorder period.

In case you missed the global announcement, the OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a flagship-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset that supports dual-mode 5G inside. It also packs quad cameras on the back, headlined by a 48-megapixel main sensor. The front-facing camera that sits in a punch-hole cutout is 16 megapixels.
More impressively, the OnePlus 8T offers 65-watt wired fast charging, which is one of the highest you’ll find on any phone now. According to OnePlus, the new standard takes the battery from zero to full capacity in just 39 minutes. The phone also ships with Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 out of the box. Curiously enough, it lacks a headphone jack, although to be fair, the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 8T is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
