There’s a new telco in town, and it happens to be the Philippines’ first fully digital one.
GOMO, which has presence in countries like Ireland and Singapore, runs on Globe Telecom’s network. Its entry in the last quarter of 2020 couldn’t have come at a better time, with the COVID-19 pandemic forcing people and businesses to transition to online.

As expected, you won’t have physical shops to visit, and you will have to deal with the most basic of customer service. But you’ll have bigger data allocation. A GOMO 5G- and LTE-ready SIM card with 25GB of data is priced at P299 (around $6 converted). And that allocation won’t expire, mind you, though the card will if no paid transaction has been made within a year. Shipping is also free. For a limited time, you can buy the SIM for only P199 ($4).

There’s also another offer: a SIM card with the same 25GB of data allocation plus 100 minutes of calls and 500 text messages that can be used for any network. This one is priced at P499 ($10).
Take note that with what the company calls “‘Mo Creds,” you can convert your mobile data to all-network calls and text messages, and offers are as low as 0.2GB.
How do you buy a GOMO SIM card? There are four options:
- GOMO Philippines website;
- GOMO PH app (for Android.
The versions for Apple’s iOS and Huawei’s AppGallery will be up soon.Update, October 2: GOMO PH app for iOS and AppGallery is live); - GOMO official store on Lazada (LazMall); and
