Xiaomi‘s stable of smartphones just got bigger. The company has launched what it calls “a triple threat of power and creativity” globally. Even better? The trio will be available in the Philippines, too, as confirmed by its local unit.

(Update, October 8: We finally have the Philippine launch date!)
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, the cheapest of the three, starts from €279 (roughly P15,836 or $327), and is the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G phone, just as we suspected. The price of the other Mi 10T series devices goes as high as €649 (P36,866 or $760), as can be seen below. But hey, that’s still low for a high-end phone — and European pricing at that.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite has gone official with the goal of offering 5G for everyone. Philippine telcos Globe Telecom and Smart Communications have started rolling out their respective fifth-generation mobile networks, and all we can say is, you have to experience the services for yourselves (see what to expect here). So it’s great to know that Xiaomi is bringing an affordable 5G phone to give many Filipinos access to blazing-fast mobile-internet connection.
It may have the word “Lite” in its name, but the quality of experience it offers — at least on paper — is far from it. The new Snapdragon 750G chipset inside the handset, for one, is not only 5G-capable, it also offers a slight performance upgrade over the Snapdragon 730G and Snapdragon 732G processors.
Next we have the #Mi10TLite which is a mid-ranger with specs that feel like a flagship. It comes with a 64MP quad camera to #PowerYourCreativity. This device is available in Atlantic Blue, Rose Gold Beach, and Pearl Gray. Truly creative, truly unique. pic.twitter.com/eIl1Nzb7Sh

We’re eyeing the Rose Gold Beach color variant
The Mi 10T Lite’s 64-megapixel quad camera and 16-megapixel selfie shooter let you take long-exposure shots courtesy of six modes just for those, time-lapse selfies, timed bursts, photo and video clones, and dual-mode videos, just to name a few.
The device’s 6.67-inch screen has a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Refresh rate is the number of times per second a screen refreshes its image. A higher number denotes a more fluid panel. And take note that the one on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite — and other members of the series — is dynamic, so the phone can seamlessly switch between refresh rates depending on what’s being viewed on the display.
The smartphone likewise comes with a 4,820mAh battery that supports 33 watts of fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 10, and an anti-bacterial case made with silver ions (Ag+) to prevent the spread of bacteria.

Xiaomi Mi 10T
The Mi 10T offers similar features to the top-shelf Mi 10T Pro and has a 6.67-inch IPS-LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. More importantly, it also adopts a 144Hz refresh rate, which is one of the highest in the industry. The ASUS ROG Phone 3, Lenovo Legion Phone Duel, and Nubia Red Magic 5S all have a 144Hz panel.
The camera system on the back features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated macro shooter with 5 megapixels. Moving to the front, you’ll find a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
You know we believe in honest prices, so…

The Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro’s main difference lies in the rear-camera system
The Xiaomi Mi 10T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage and runs Xiaomi’s own MIUI 12 skin on top of Android 10. All of this is backed by a beefy 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging of up to 33 watts using the bundled charger.
Just like the Lite version, both the Mi 10T and Mi 10T are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and offer 5G connectivity where available. Inside the box of the two more premium units is an extra anti-bacterial accessory: the screen protector.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro gets a 144Hz LCD display similar to that on the Mi 10T, plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip mated to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It also comes with dual speakers and an X-axis linear motor for better vibration feedback when gaming.
The 5,000mAh battery is rated for up to 14 hours of gaming and 123 hours of music playback. Xiaomi says it should last most users two days on a single charge.
Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro official unboxing video
The triple-camera setup on the back consists of a 108-megapixel main camera boasting optical image stabilization as well as 8K video recording. The secondary cameras include a 13-megapixel sensor behind an ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel macro sensor, just like on the vanilla Mi 10T. The selfie camera has a 20-megapixel sensor, too.
For protection, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides, as well as on the rear camera housing. If you don’t mind the few extra bells and whistles, though, the Mi 10T might prove to be the better choice in terms of value for money.
