I previously wrote about the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus finally getting a release date in the Philippines, courtesy of local operators Globe Telecom and Smart Communications. To reiterate, the date to remember is November 6, 2015, which is exactly a week away.
I also said to expect word about pricing soon, and, well, here it is: Globe customers can get the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus on a P1,799 data plan that comes with a 2-year lock-in and a monthly fee of P450 or P650, depending on the phone model. If you do the math, those fees would total P10,800 and P15,600, which are reasonable for what you’re getting.
And what Globe has put together is indeed tempting: 10GB of data per month, unlimited calls to Globe and TM, unlimited texts to all networks, 2 years of free access to Facebook, Viber, and Instagram, and 3-month subscriptions to Spotify Premium and video-on-demand service HOOQ.

Globe hasn’t announced the full pricing details, including off-contract prices, for the latest iPhones, but those will surely follow in the coming days.
Smart Communications has yet to announce its prepaid and postpaid offers for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. I’m sure we’ll hear something official very soon.
