Ready for some even better news? If you live in the Philippines or Brazil, you might be one of the first to play the upcoming free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena, or MOBA for short, that lets you compete in team-based battles. This is according to the game’s official Twitter account.

The alpha test will be available for players in the said countries, but it will be short and limited. Anyhow, more details will be announced at the end of the month, so check back with us in a week or two.

In addition to announcing an alpha test in the Philippines and Brazil, Wild Rift’s Twitter account revealed the game’s minimum requirements at launch. You’ll find them below.

  • Android devices
    • 32-bit CPU or Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset
    • Adreno 306 GPU
    • 1.5GB RAM
  • iOS devices
    • Apple iPhone 6 and above

If you’re not familiar, League of Legends: Wild Rift is a near-identical mobile version of the popular MOBA for PC, and its developer, Riot Games, earlier said that they rebuilt the game “from scratch.”

The game is designed for faster matches and will incorporate a dual-stick control scheme. It will also have a 5v5 map based on League of Legends’ largest map, Summoner’s Rift. It will have 40 characters from the LoL’s existing roster of champions, but more will be released in the future.

League of Legends: Wild Rift is set to release sometime this year, although pre-registrations have opened in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Alpha and beta testing have already started in China.
