Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, Galaxy A51 5G now official

And just like that, two upgraded models of popular smartphones from Samsung‘s Galaxy A series are official.

In a press statement, the Korean company has introduced the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, its first two 5G handsets in the lineup. We don’t know if or when it’s launching in the Philippines. What’s sure is that both are going to be available in the United States.

In the U.S., the A71 5G’s price starts at $599.99 (around P30,320). The A51 5G, on the other hand, is going to be available from $499.99 (P25,266). For reference, the 8GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB versions of the 4G A71 and A51 models sold in the Philippines cost P22,990 ($456) and P16,990 ($337), respectively.

We’re curious about the processors used by the 5G variants. You see, Samsung hasn’t specified them in the press release. But it did confirm that the rest of the specs of the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and Samsung Galaxy A51 5G are the same as those of their LTE counterparts. We listed them at the end of this article.

Design-wise, though, the 5G units get the two-tone — not diamond-pattern — treatment on the back. Which one do you like more?
