We already know a lot of new flagship phones that have been launched lately, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, are powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest — and 5G-compatible — Snapdragon 865 chipset.
Over the next couple of months, a lot more are expected to hit stores worldwide. And now, Qualcomm has announced there are over 70 different devices set to be released with a Snapdragon 865 inside, most of which haven’t been announced yet.
In a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Qualcomm says that after the Snapdragon 865’s launch in December 2019, dozens of devices have been announced or are coming soon with its flagship chip under the hood. The company even drops the names of some of the upcoming Snapdragon 865-based devices releasing this 2020. See the list of smartphones, in alphabetical order, below:
- ASUS ROG Phone 3
- ASUS ZenFone 7
- Black Shark 3
- FCNT Arrows 5G
- iQOO 3
- Legion Gaming Phone
- Nubia Red Magic 5G
- OPPO Find X2
- Realme X50 Pro
- Redmi K30 Pro
- Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Sharp Aquos 5G
- Sony Xperia 1 II
- Vivo APEX 2020
- Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro
- ZTE Axon 10s Pro
Most of these phones, such as the ASUS ROG Phone 3, Black Shark 3, Legion Gaming Phone, OPPO Find X2, and Vivo APEX 2020, haven’t made their official debut, or haven’t been confirmed — until now. Another important note is that all the devices listed here are either flagship models, prototypes, or focused on mobile gaming.
We’re particularly interested in Lenovo’s Legion Gaming Phone, which has been in the rumor mill for months now and is set to be Lenovo’s first true gaming handset. Lenovo’s mobile division is now back in the Philippines with new devices in tow and has even teased the possibility of bringing the Legion Gaming Phone to the local market.
The Vivo APEX 2020 is scheduled to launch on February 28; the Black Shark 3 is coming on March 3; and the OPPO Find X2 will be revealed on March 6. We previously reported that the Redmi K30 Pro has been confirmed to debut sometime next month.
