Some good news: If you own a Realme 3 Pro or Realme XT, you can now manually upgrade your phone to Android 10-based Realme UI by downloading the update file from Realme’s official website.

This way, you don’t have to wait for the update to be rolled out via over-the-air or OTA channels. The wait can take days, or maybe even weeks, as Realme is doing a staged rollout to help minimize the number of users who might experience an issue with the new software.

So, how do you install Realme UI onto your device manually? It’s pretty simple, actually. And unlike with other methods, you don’t have to install a VPN or custom recovery, unlock your device’s bootloader, or do anything that can brick your unit and void warranty coverage. Make sure to back up your storage and check if your handset has enough battery power before proceeding.
- Visit the official Realme Software Update page.
- Get the update file for your device. Make sure you’re using a strong and stable connection to download the file, which is around 3.51GB. We recommend using a Wi-Fi network.
- After downloading the file, open it using the phone’s native File Manager app.
- Select “OK” to install the package.
- Your device will boot and update to Realme UI. During the process, don’t turn off your unit for whatever reason.
That’s it! Once the file is installed, your phone will boot to Realme UI based on Android 10. Enjoy, and do chime in with your experience in the comments. Other Realme phones — even the newly launched Realme 5i — are expected to get the latest software throughout 2020, with the Realme 5 Pro and Realme X slated to receive it in February.
