The Realme 5s isn’t a significant upgrade from the Realme 5, but it does offer new features like a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor, a new Crystal Red variant, and two storage options: 64GB and 128GB.
In India, where it was launched alongside the X2 Pro, the Realme 5s will first come to ecommerce site Flipkart and Realme.com at 12 p.m. on November 29.
The base 4GB/64GB model will retail for ₹9,999 (around P7,089 or $139), while the 4GB/128GB variant has a suggested retail price of ₹10,999 (P7,798 or $153). The company hasn’t announced when the phone will be available offline.

Under the hood, the Realme 5s runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor — the same one used by the Realme 5 — and Android 9-based ColorOS 6. It also still comes equipped with 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. The screen has a waterdrop-style notch with the 13-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Realme 5s cameras on the back
The four cameras on the back are mostly the same as the Realme 5, too. There’s still an 8-megapixel 119-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. As we mentioned, the 12-megapixel primary lens gets upgraded to the 48-megapixel one.
Also available in Crystal Purple and Crystal Blue colors, the Realme 5s has a diamond-cut finish with the brand’s logo visible on the back along with a fingerprint sensor for extra security.

Claimed Realme 5s usage time
For power users, the 5,000mAh battery embedded in the Realme 5s should get you far as well.
The Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro are two popular handsets in the Philippines, so this new entry-level phone could make an appearance in the local market soon, but at a higher price considering the higher taxes in the country. At the very least, we are hoping the Realme 5s does make its way here.
