The rumored Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is back in the spotlight with surprising specs: It reportedly runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip with 8GB of RAM and Android 10 on board.

The supposed entry-level member of the Galaxy S10 series is usually designed to be less powerful than its more premium siblings. But a new Geekbench 5 listing throws a spanner into this idea.

The Galaxy S10 Lite, which is believed to be the SM-G770F model, managed to get 724 points in the single-core test and 2,603 in the multi-core one, which means it scores higher than both the Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the regular S10.

Now, we can’t help but ask: What makes this device “Lite”? How “affordable” can it be with these specs? And what is the point of it, especially since the Samsung Galaxy S10e — with model number SM-G970F, seen in the feature image of this article — exists?

We need to remind you, though, that the information above is from a benchmark app, which can be manipulated. Until we get the official word from the company, all the data is speculation for now.

Some of the other previously rumored specs about the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite include a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor as well as a 32-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy S10 Lite will reportedly have a design close to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A91, with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. It will supposedly have a 4,500mAh battery that will support 45-watt fast charging. And it’s said to come in Prism White, Black, and Blue colors.
