We exclusively reported in August that the Honor 9X could be coming to the Philippines this year — a report that has since been confirmed by Honor Asia Pacific president Yiwei Ou.
(Update, November 26: It’s official in the Philippines! See Honor 9X with pop-up selfie cam, 48MP rear cam launched in PH.)
However, no release date has been set just yet. Today, this changes with Honor Philippines itself revealing that the device will officially go on sale at all of its stores and kiosks starting November 30. The complete list of shops can be seen here. Preorder details should be out soon.
Marketed as an “X-traordinary lifestyle and gaming phone,” the Honor 9X is claimed to “strike the perfect balance between most of today’s flagship’s powerful features in photography and gaming.”

It boasts two cameras on the rear, one of which is a 48-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture. The front shooter, on the other hand, is a 16-megapixel pop-up cam, which will make the 9X the first Honor handset with such a feature to be launched in the country.
And because the Honor 9X is already running Android 9-based EMUI 9.1, it also gets GPU Turbo 3.0 technology for a better gaming experience. We’re talking more consistent frame rates, which is just as important as getting high frames. The OS can be updated to Android 10-based EMUI 10; the upgrade release schedule can be found on this page.

We’re not exactly sure what the specs of the Honor 9X variant that will be available in the Philippines. Some reports said that the international version will have a Kirin 710F processor instead of Kirin 810 because the latter is covered by the U.S. trade ban. Oh well, we’ll find out in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, you can refer to the table below for the specs of the model that was released in China. They came with the following price tags at launch:
