We’ve already written about the confirmed design and specs of Realme’s 64-megapixel camera phone when the company briefed select members of the press at a not-so-official gathering in China.

But today’s different. Today, we finally have the Realme XT’s price and availability, as the device goes official in India.

According to the former OPPO sub-brand, the smartphone will retail at ₹15,999 (around P11,714 or $226) for the model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB versions, on the other hand, will be priced at ₹16,999 (P12,446 or $240) and ₹18,999 (P13,910 or $268), respectively. First sale in the country starts September 16.

We can only hope that the XT will also be released in the Philippines, just as the Realme 5 and 5 Pro are confirmed to arrive here. But take note that the prices mentioned here are still subject to local taxes if ever.

As mentioned earlier, the Realme XT boasts a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. It takes 16-megapixel pictures by default, but you can enable the Ultra 64MP mode to capture 9,216 × 6,912 photos.

The sensor is joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel dedicated macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is 16 megapixels and is housed in a waterdrop notch at the top of the 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Available in Pearl White and Pearl Blue, the Realme XT also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chip, a 4,000mAh battery with support for 20-watt VOOC 3.0 fast charging, and ColorOS 6.0 layered on top of Android 9.0 Pie.

One surprise at the launch was the announcement that there’s another version of the phone — the Realme XT 730G — that’s coming in December 2019.
