The Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro were launched barely a week ago in China. And while we’re interested in seeing the company’s flagship smartphones in local store shelves, we didn’t think of the two that much. After all, many of them were not released in the Philippines.
(Update, November 26: It’s official in the Philippines! See Honor 9X with pop-up selfie cam, 48MP rear cam launched in PH.)
(Update, October 22: We have the local release date! See Confirmed: Honor 9X’s Philippines date of availability.)
We could be wrong this time. A moderator at Honor Beta Club Philippines, the official local Facebook group of the brand, has just shared this with the group’s members.
The caption reads, “The NINE is coming…” Could this mean that the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro — or any one of the two devices — are going to be available in the country?
Please let the answer be “yes.” The Honor 8X, the series’ predecessor, was released in stores October 13, 2018, so it’s almost time for the successors to arrive here. We’ll update this post if and when Honor Philippines confirms or denies this.
The Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro are the Huawei sub-brand’s first entries to the “pop-up camera, bezel-less screen” category. They boast attractive designs and specs headlined by the new Kirin 810 chipset, which can be found in the Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5i Pro and is said to be better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor in the Xiaomi Mi 9T.
The smartphones come with competitive prices, too. In China, pricing is as follows:
- Honor 9X (4GB/64GB) – ¥1,399 (P10,419 or $203)
- Honor 9X (6GB/64GB) – ¥1,599 (P11,908 or $232)
- Honor 9X (6GB/128GB) – ¥1,899 (P14,142 or $276)
- Honor 9X Pro (8GB/128GB) – ¥2,199 (P16,377 or $320)
- Honor 9X Pro (8GB/256GB) – ¥2,399 (P17,866 or $349)
