In China, it’s a slightly tweaked Xiaomi Mi CC9e. In other parts of the world, it’s the Xiaomi Mi A3 — and it already debuted in Spain today, July 17, with an unveiling in Poland slated for July 25.
The device will be rolled out to other countries, for sure, but we have not received any confirmation of a Philippine launch just yet.

So how does the Xiaomi Mi A3 differ from the CC9e? Being an Android One phone, the former is running pure Android and will receive at least two years of OS upgrades. Its Super AMOLED screen is a wee bit bigger at 6.08 inches, too; the Mi CC9e’s display measures 6.01 inches.
But other than those? You get the same Snapdragon 665 chip inside, the same set of rear and front cameras, the same in-screen fingerprint sensor, and the same 4,030mAh battery with 18-watt USB-C fast charging.

In Spain, the Xiaomi Mi A3 model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at €249 (around P14,275 or $279). The version with double the storage — 128GB — costs €279 (P15,993 or $313).
Take note that prices tend to be higher in Europe, so if and when the smartphone becomes available in the Philippines, it’s probably going to be a bit cheaper.
