The Galaxy A90 had been heavily rumored to launch at Samsung‘s A Galaxy Event last April 10. But that day came and went with nary an A90 in sight. Instead, we got the Samsung Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A70.
Will it ever be announced? Does it come with features exciting enough to top its first smartphone with a pop-up rotating camera?

Could be. Word has it that the Samsung Galaxy A90 will have two versions. The more expensive variant with model number SM-A908 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, a 6.7-inch screen with an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP rear camera setup. It’s supposed to be a 5G phone, too, which could make it one of the first — if not the first — device from a midrange series to support 5G.
That last bit is consistent with a report out of Korea a few days ago, which claims that the unit is currently being tested and is intended for the South Korean market.

The other Samsung Galaxy A90 version, which has a model number SM-A908, is said to feature the same processor and screen as SM-A908. However, it is not 5G-enabled and its camera system on the back is 48MP + 12MP + 5MP. It does boast Tilt OIS technology. How that exactly works, we don’t know for now.
If the handset is going to be released in the Philippines, will it sport an Exynos chip — a 9820, specifically — instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, as with its other smartphones available in the country? Will it cost almost P40,000 (around $776), considering that the Galaxy A80 is priced at P34,990 ($679) locally?
