The Huawei P30 Pro still holds the top spot on independent camera-testing outfit DxOMark’s list of smartphones with the best camera.
Huawei‘s decision to partner with German optics manufacturer Leica, along with heavily investing in research and development, has proved to be a prudent move. Today, its flagship handsets are some of the best camera phones on the market that sometimes, it feels like it’s just competing with itself.

To refresh your memory, the Huawei P30 Pro boasts four cameras on the back. The main is 40 megapixels and comes with a large sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle shooter delivers 20-megapixel images and has auto-focus. There’s an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom, or up to 50x with software enhancement, and a time-of-flight sensor for getting better bokeh in Portrait Mode. The front, on the other hand, has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
