Priced at P36,990 (around $705), the P30 boasts a 40-megapixel SuperSpectrum sensor with sensitivity of up to 104,200, reconfigured to replace green pixels for yellow to let it produce brighter, more vibrant pictures in poor lighting. It’s paired with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter, which is capable of 5x optical zoom and 30x hybrid zoom. Tucked into the dewdrop notch up front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The highlight of the P49,990 ($952) S10, on the other hand, is a 12-megapixel camera with a variable aperture of f/1.5 or f/2.4 to allow for improved photos in dark settings. There’s a 16-megapixel super-wide shooter with a 123-degree field of view and a 12-megapixel telephoto option with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The camera hidden on the upper right side of the punch-hole screen is 10 megapixels.
So which setup suits your mobile-photography style more: the one on the Huawei P30 or the system used by the Samsung Galaxy S10? You may think you’ve had it all figured out.
