It’s finally here. The Realme 3 Pro is officially in the Philippines, ready to battle it out with other midrange smartphones on the market.

Armed with prices that are great for the value it offers, the Realme 3 Pro has the caliber to do that. It’s up to the company now to market the product well.

You see, Realme’s third device in the Philippines after the Realme C1 and Realme 3 costs P12,990 (around $247) for the 4GB/64GB variant and P14,990 ($285) for the unit with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with an option to get it through Home Credit’s six-month loan plan with 0% interest. The only other Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 phone officially sold in the country, the OPPO R17 Pro, was launched with a price tag of P38,990 ($628). Let that sink in.

This is a device targeted at the mobile-gaming community, with HyperBoost 2.0 technology included to enhance performance and user experience. The tech’s upgraded Gameboost feature comes with TouchBoost and FrameBoost optimizations for improved touch control and frame rate.

A 4,045mAh battery is fitted into the Realme 3 Pro, so you can play games for hours nonstop — seven hours for PUBG Mobile, as quoted by the company. That battery has support for VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge, which can top up your cell from 0% to 100% in around 80 minutes. What’s more, there’s even a free 20-watt charger included in the box.

The handset is stacked up in other areas as well. We don’t know about you, but we’re loving its textured, 3D speedway rear design. The screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, is big at 6.3 inches. And with regard to photography, take note that it boasts a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor paired with a 5-megapixel one for pictures with bokeh effect. The front is a 25-megapixel selfie camera housed in a dewdrop notch.

All three colors — Carbon Gray, Nitro Blue, Lightning Purple — will be available for the base model. The one with higher memory configuration, on the other hand, will get only the latter two.

Hoping to get the Realme 3 Pro online? Unfortunately, it will only be sold at its concept kiosks and partner MemoXpress, PC Express, and Fonestyle stores nationwide. Realme Philippines executives say they want you to experience the phone for yourself. Preorder until May 24, and you’ll get P1,899 ($36) worth of freebies. Redemption is from May 25 to 26.
