Realme X with 48MP camera, SD 710 priced as low as $218

Realme, which first debuted in India barely a year ago, heads to China with a smartphone that has never been introduced in any of the markets it’s in. Not in India, not in the Philippines, not anywhere else.

Meet the Realme X, a device specced to the hilt in the category it belongs. Consider these: a pop-up 16-megapixel selfie camera that reminds us of handsets like the OPPO F11 Pro and Vivo V15 and V15 Pro; a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor paired with a 5-megapixel one for shots with bokeh effect; and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip.

Throw in a 6.53-inch, Corning Gorilla Glass 5-protected AMOLED display with a high, 91.2% screen-to-body ratio and a fingerprint sensor underneath it. Add a 3,765mAh battery with support for 20-watt VOOC 3.0 fast charging and a user interface that’s based on Android 9.0 Pie for good measure.

All these features for a price tag of as low as ¥1,499, which is equivalent to P11,418 in Philippine pesos and $218 in U.S. dollars. You can find pricing for all three available Realme X memory configurations below:

The Realme X will be released in China May 20. There are Garlic and Onion Master Editions that will become available for ¥1,899 (P14,456 or $276) at a later time, though.
