Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has just teased its upcoming flagship smartphone on Chinese social-networking platform Weibo.

And if there’s one takeaway from the short video, it’s that the device will adopt the same pop-up camera design as the Vivo V15 and V15 Pro and the OPPO F11 Pro and F11 Pro Avengers Limited Edition. But more so on the latter. You’ll see why after you watch the teaser below.

Yep, it seems that just like OPPO, Redmi has also struck a licensing deal with Marvel for Avengers: Endgame. Whether it’s for all markets including the Philippines and not just China remains to be seen.

Word has it that the still-to-be-announced Redmi unit is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor. The chip will be matched with up to 8GB of RAM and as much as 128GB of internal storage. The front camera is 32 megapixels while the setup on the back pairs a 48-megapixel camera with 8-megapixel and 13-megapixel ones. The screen is said to measure 6.39 inches.

Remember that back in January, Xiaomi co-founder and CEO Lei Jun already said that there will be a Redmi Snapdragon 855 phone and it will be priced at around ¥2,500 (roughly P19,368 in Philippine pesos or $371 in U.S. dollars) when it hits stores this year. Could the newly teased device be what he was referring to?
