Realme is gearing up to enter the Chinese market about a year after the former OPPO sub-brand was launched in India, where it currently is one of the top five smartphone brands. What is it going to unveil there?
Two sighted listings on the site of China’s certification authority TENAA indicate that one of them is the Realme 3 Pro. The smartphone, as you know, was recently launched in India to take on devices like the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M30. You can find a comparison between the three models here.

What piqued our interest is the other phone with model number RMX1901 because it could be a premium Realme. Sure looks like it. The 6.5-inch screen doesn’t seem to have any notch, signifying that the selfie camera is a pop-up. That’s the same design seen on many units now, including the OPPO F11 Pro and Vivo V15 and V15 Pro and could be adapted by Huawei for the P Smart Z, too.
The back doesn’t show any physical fingerprint sensor, which indicates two things. One is it can be found under the display of the phone. And two, the screen is OLED because the in-screen fingerprint scanner is only for the OLED variety as of now.

The rear is curved and shiny and is home to a vertically arranged dual-camera system with LED flash. Found in the middle is Realme’s branding. And underneath that panel is a 3,680mAh battery.
We can’t wait to get more details of the device, especially since the brand has impressed us thus far. We even called the Realme 3 last quarter’s best budget smartphone in the Philippines.
