0% interest loan plan for Realme 3 now offered by Home Credit

Almost two weeks ago, we revealed that the Realme 3 is our pick for the best budget smartphone that came out in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2019. We summarized our reasons in the video we embedded at the end of this article — all those for a price that starts at P6,990 (around $135).

Well, more good news is coming our way. We heard from Realme that the variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage can be bought through a six-month loan plan with 0% interest, thanks to the company’s partnership with non-bank financial institution Home Credit.

That particular version is retailing at P9,990 ($193) and is available at more than 1,500 partner stores and over 25 concept kiosks nationwide — something that’s indicative of how important offline is in a country like the Philippines.

But there’s still good news for those who’d rather get the cheaper, 3GB/64GB Realme 3 that sells for P7,990 ($154). That unit is being offered through the Home Credit Easy Plan, and you can pay for it in full in either 9 or 12 months.

In case you didn’t know, only the base model — the one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage — is being sold online, on Shopee.

The Realme 3 is the company’s second offering in the Philippines after the Realme C1. It boasts an attractive gradient design; powerful and gaming-capable hardware; an all-day battery life with support for fast charging; and a camera setup that’s perfect for taking pictures at night or in low-light situations.
