Honor Philippines has started teasing a smartphone with a big battery. While the company hasn’t explicitly said on Facebook what the model is, we’re pretty sure it’s the Honor 8C.
There are several clues. First, the hashtag is #PackedWithPower, the same one that Honor India uses for the 8C. Take note that the phone — which has a 4,000mAh battery — is already available in the said Southern Asian country.
Second, this photo contest is all about the Honor 8C. It encourages people to capture
And third, in a post announcing a contest whose prize is a chance to be a part of the launch event that will also introduce its next brand ambassador, Honor says the about-to-be-unveiled handset is cheaper than the Honor 8X. The exact quote can be found below.
The Honor 8X … has a big 6.5-inch display, a generous 128GB of storage, and a rather large 3,750mAh battery. This year we have a lot of surprise for you guys! Honor is introducing a more affordable option, something long-lasting is about to come very soon!

Yup, it’s the Honor 8C alright. In India, the device is priced at ₹11,999 (around P9,145 or $174) for the version with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and ₹12,999 (P9,906 or $188) for the variant with a higher, 64GB of storage.
This development comes right when the company announced that it’s dropping the prices of several phones in the Philippines. One of the discounted models is the Honor 8X, which now costs P11,990 ($228), down P1,000 ($19) from P12,990 ($247).
