Our source told us at Revü the other day that Samsung’s new A series phones are launching in the Philippines next week.
(Update, March 8: The local pricing has surfaced! See Philippine prices of Samsung Galaxy A30, A50 leak out.)
Today, we got confirmation that the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 is happening on March 13. Meaning the Korean company is on a roll these days in terms of product launches.
On February 26, Samsung locally unveiled its flagship devices, the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e. On March 5, one handset from its new entry-level M series — the Samsung Galaxy M20 — became official in the country. And then this.
Understandably, the smartphones will be more expensive than the M20, considering that they are part of the more premium A series. In India, the Samsung Galaxy A30 is priced at ₹16,990 (around P12,640 or $242). The Samsung Galaxy A50 with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, on the other hand, are available for ₹19,990 (P14,872 or $285) and ₹22,990 (P17,105 or $328), respectively.
Will they be online-exclusive in the Philippines, too, like the Galaxy M20? Our gut feeling tells us they won’t be. We’ll know more next week.
