It’s a new year. With it, we’re sure many of you are looking for a fresh start to your existing broadband situation. And if you’re looking to upgrade or switch to a different service provider now or sometime soon, this article should give you an over-the-top look at the broadband plans that are on offer in the Philippines at the moment and help you decide which is right for your household.
A couple of things to note before we get going, though. For one, we’re only including wired-broadband plans from the four biggest companies in the Philippines, namely PLDT, Globe Telecom, Converge ICT, and Sky. Second, we can’t comment on how good or bad Converge ICT is as an internet provider because we have yet to subscribe to any of its services.
Third, full disclosure: We’re currently using PLDT’s fiber service in the house, while our office away from home is hooked up to Sky’s broadband box. We’ve used Globe’s fiber internet from 2015 to 2018 and found it to be the best of the three when it comes to speed, reliability, and after-sales support.

Unfortunately for us, Globe’s wired internet isn’t available at our current home address, but we’re planning to sign up to a Converge fiber-internet plan once our lock-in with PLDT expires this year.
Also: We’re limiting this post to broadband plans for residential customers; enterprise plans are typically more complicated and might require a tailor-made deal. If you’re a business owner, you’re best off heading to a nearby business center to ask about enterprise offers and pricing.
All of those out of the way now, here are the updated broadband offers from the Philippines’ biggest wired-internet providers. If you’ll have a hard time checking the Google sheet, you can refer to the table underneath it.

There are plenty of good offers out there even if you’re not looking for a super-fast connection that can comfortably cater to a large family. And despite our pleasant and not-so-pleasant experiences with most of the service providers included here, your mileage may vary. Actual broadband service depends on many things, from type of technology used to location and congestion.
That said, you may want to ask around in your area to find out if customers are satisfied with a particular service provider.
