The two biggest smartphone companies in the world are in a race to launch the first handset with an in-screen selfie camera, with Huawei and Samsung unveiling their respective phones in December.
Huawei has just teased the device on Chinese social-media platform Weibo, telling everyone to expect it next month.
We’re thinking it could be Huawei Nova 3S, considering that the Nova 2s was announced in December in China last year.

The phone could be renamed the Huawei Nova 4 or Nova 4i if and when it reaches the Philippines, probably in February or March 2019, based on the company’s launch schedule in the country. Guess we’ll just have to wait.
Samsung has already teased its own model with what it calls an Infinity-O display. The Samsung Galaxy A8s was revealed at the unveiling of the Galaxy A6s, the Korean manufacturer’s first outsourced phone.

We still don’t have details of the handset. However, rumors say the Galaxy A8s boasts a 6.39-inch screen, three cameras on the back, and a 24-megapixel selfie shooter. It’s supposedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage.
Not that we at Revü care so much about firsts (our concern is which is the better model), but the development begs this question: Which of the two technology giants will have the honor of launching a smartphone with an in-screen selfie camera first?
Huawei will release the world’s first hole-screen mobile phone before the Samsung Galaxy A8s, which will be released in December, but the A8s may also be released in December, so who will start, it will wait and see.
