So it looks like another smartphone is joining the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 at its official unveiling on October 15.
A recent leak on Chinese social-media platform Weibo indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Note 4 will be launched alongside the MIX series phone. The text in the poster below says the announcement will be made a week from now in Nanjing, China, too. And that the device is called Mi Note 4, not Xiaomi Mi LEX, as previously reported. LEX, it seems, is just a code name.
A smartphone with the model number M1807E8A, believed to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 4, was already spotted on the website of Chinese certification authority TENAA in July. While no specs were shown, we got to see the design of the unit.

Interestingly, the device that showed up on TENAA sports a transparent back panel reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition. It also features a notch. Those details, coupled with rumors that the Mi Note 4 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, makes us believe that the upcoming Note could be a larger, less powerful Xiaomi Mi 8.
Which is not unthinkable because its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, is actually a bigger Xiaomi Mi 6, but with less power.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 4 is also expected to come with a dedicated artificial-intelligence key designed to launch the company’s own AI voice assistant, Xiao AI, which is just like Google’s Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, Amazon’s Alexa, and Samsung’s Bixby, but with China in mind.
