Yesterday, the regular model of the OPPO Find X went on sale in its native China, coincidentally the world’s largest smartphone market. The early verdict? The company’s flagship device is selling so well that it actually broke sales records on three major online stores.
Tmall (previously called Taobao Mall), Suning, and JD (also known as Jingdong) all announced the good news. The latter even went so far as to reveal the number of units sold.
According to Tencent-owned JD.com, there were 10,000 OPPO Find X phones snapped up in just 45 seconds. And in 15 minutes, sales amounted to at least ¥100 million (more than P800 million or almost $15 million).
On one major ecommerce platform alone, there were 10,000 OPPO Find X phones sold in just 45 seconds. And in 15 minutes, sales amounted to at least ¥100 million (more than P800 million or almost $15 million).
In China, the Find X variant with 128GB of internal memory costs ¥4,999 (P40,021 or $747). The one with 256GB of native memory sells for ¥5,999 (P48,027 or $897).
Here in the Philippines, the 8GB RAM/256GB ROM version is priced at P49,990 ($935) and is up for preorder until August 1. Early adopters will get a free headset, charger, and game controller — all by Rock Space — worth P5,000 ($94). Full preorder details here.
