The OPPO Find X TV commercial has finally debuted in China, just hours before the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia kickoff. The timing is great, considering the TVC stars Brazilian Neymar, the world’s highest-paid football player.
TVC: OPPO Find X teaser starring Neymar
It’s just a teaser; no specs have been revealed in the 30-second ad. There was no image of the smartphone either. But in posters shared by OPPO itself, we can already tell how the Find X looks.
Let’s get to the one showing the front of the device. It’s dark, so we edited the exposure and came up with this.
If the render is accurate and not like the Lienovo Lenovo Z5 teased graphics, then we are standing by what we said the last time: that the OPPO Find X does look a bit like the OnePlus 6. That time, though, we just compared the two handsets’ rear. Now, we can say that their front panels are somewhat similar as well, with the narrow notch being the most obvious comparable feature. Maybe they’re using the same chassis?

Remember that the last Find flagship phone, 2014’s OPPO Find 7, was used as a blueprint for the OnePlus One. Not that we’re surprised; OPPO and OnePlus are owned by the same Chinese conglomerate.
However, it seems that the OPPO Find X has this LED notification light at the bottom. The last time we saw that was on the Find 7.
Now, let’s check the poster below. If you look closely, it actually shows the dual cameras in the upper middle part of the back. This is consistent with leaks that have appeared online, including the picture we used as the main photo in this article — the one at the topmost.
What could probably be the OPPO Find X’s specs? The unit is already confirmed to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB memory. It could also boast the manufacturer’s proprietary Super VOOC, SmartSensor Image Stabilization, and Dual Camera Zoom technologies showcased at MWC 2016 and MWC 2017.
The latest alleged specs sheet that circulated online can be found below.
We’re just a few days away from the smartphone’s June 19 launch in Paris, so everything should be settled by that time.
Now, will the OPPO Find X eventually, um, find its way to the Philippines? Take a hint from some of the local tech websites. 😉 Your guess is as good as ours, no?
