After two weeks of teasing, ASUS Philippines has finally revealed the launch date of what it calls its “newest battery king,” the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 pure Android phone.

The smartphone will be officially unveiled in the country on June 7, 2018, one and a half months after it was first announced in India. And the good news? As with ASUS’ other product launches, it will be broadcast live on Facebook at 2:50 p.m. on that day.

The online event is in partnership with Lazada Philippines, so we believe that the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be go on (flash) sale on the ecommerce site first. It will probably then be available at brick-and-mortar retail stores at its regular price.

In India, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 undercuts the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, its counterpart in the lineup of the nation’s top smartphone vendor. Check out the table below to see what we mean.
The Philippines, on the other hand, got the international version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory retails at P11,990 (around $229).
Because ASUS said that the 3GB/32GB variant is the one arriving here — and taking in all the other factors — we’re guessing that the ZenFone Max Pro M1’s discounted and regular prices will be P8,995 ($172) and P9,995 ($191), respectively.
