We know that Xiaomi will be announcing its next-gen flagship, the Mi 8, at a press event in its home country of China on May 31. Numerous leaks and rumors have already hinted at what to expect during the announcement. But none have given us an official look at the phone’s front and back and retail box — until today.

An alleged official poster from China shows the upper half of the Xiaomi Mi 8 and confirms some of its biggest attractions, including the notch at the top of the display. The phone’s back panel will be curved, like on previous iterations, and a shiny blue color option will be among the choices offered. We’ve also glimpsed the dual-camera array that’s reminiscent of the one on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi S2.
Recently, Xiaomi took to Chinese social-media platform Weibo to say that the Mi 8 will have the best cameras ever on a Xiaomi device. That’s a bold statement considering the Mi Mix 2S has one of the highest-rated systems on a smartphone, according to camera-ratings website DxOMark.

From left to right, the image also reveals that the Mi 8 will have dual-frequency GPS for accurate location tracking; Qualcomm’s latest and fastest Snapdragon 845 under the hood; AI-driven cameras; and a 3D face-scanning system that could rival the Apple iPhone X‘s in terms of complexity.

Elsewhere, rumored photos of the Mi 8’s retail packaging have been posted online as well. The box is colored black and sees the number 8 occupying a large portion of the top and the Mi logo at the upper-right corner.
Right on the box, it says the Mi 8 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. It will also have two rear cameras, a 20-megapixel selfie camera with face recognition, and an advanced GPS system, as indicated above.
