ASUS fans could finally breathe a sigh of relief: The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 is likely headed to the Philippines soon.
The company’s local outfit recently posted an image on social media showing the outline of a smartphone powered by a Snapdragon chipset with the hashtags #BatteryKing and #LimitlessGaming.

ASUS has understandably remained mum on the model name of the phone in the teaser. But one only needs to revisit the previous ASUS launch event in Indonesia to find out which device it is hinting at. We’ll save you a click or two by noting that the event was titled “Limitless Gaming.” So yes, we’re confident that the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 will indeed find its way here in the foreseeable future.

To recap, the front of the phone has a 6-inch LCD display with 2,160 x 1,080 resolution at a picture format of 18:9. Above the screen, you’ll find either a 16- or 8-megapixel selfie camera depending on the variant you opt for.

Highlights from the back include a fingerprint scanner and 13- and 5-megapixel cameras, with the latter incorporating a wide-angle lens for some interesting results, similar to the ones we’ve taken with the ASUS ZenFone Max (M1). There’s also a massive 5,000mAh sealed within the chassis. ASUS says it can deliver 20 hours of nonstop video playback or up to 35 days in standby mode.

Of course, another highlight is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 system-on-a-chip, the same silicon that powers the likes of the ASUS ZenFone 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 ships in different memory configurations — from 3GB RAM to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage, but it’s unknown if all will arrive here. Android 8.0 Oreo is the operating system of choice for this ASUS handset.
