Nothing’s left to the imagination when it comes to the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, having been announced last March in Paris with their complete specs and prices in tow. You might have seen what their cameras are capable of, too.

These two new Huawei phones, however, can take a serious chunk out of your budget. The 40-megapixel-camera-toting Huawei P20 Pro, for example, is priced at €899 (around P58,425 or $1,115). If that’s not something you feel comfortable with, the Chinese technology company has a top-shelf alternative you may want to consider — the Huawei-made Honor 10, which will debut this month.

Honor today announced that the Honor 10 will be formally revealed to its native Chinese market April 19th. It also named actors Hu Ge and Zhao Liying as its new brand ambassadors. Honor has also sent out invites for a press event on May 15 in London.
Details about the upcoming smartphone have recently surfaced in a series of promotional images, while another image allegedly taken outside a retail store in China claims the phone will have a 5.8-inch, nearly borderless screen and a Kirin 970 processor, both of which are present on the Huawei P20. It is tipped to have as much as 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well.

All of this bodes well for power users looking for a smaller device with a strong camera feature set. We already know the Honor 10 is going to have dual cameras at the back, and this setup will feature AI capabilities for better results. The Honor 10’s backside is also going to be made of gradient glass, giving it the same effect as the Twilight color version of the Huawei P20.

There is currently no information — confirmed or otherwise — with regard to pricing at this time, though Honor-branded phones have been historically cheaper than their Huawei counterparts. Take the Honor View 10, for instance. The Kirin 970-backed premium phone costs $499 (P25,946) in the U.S. right now. We expect the Honor 10 to be competitively priced as well.
