We are only four months removed from the OnePlus 5T launch, but we’re already expecting another OnePlus smartphone unveiling in less than three months.
The OnePlus 6 is believed to be announced in June at the latest, and every detail it’s supposed to have is not verified. Except one: that it will have a notch. The company’s co-founders themselves said so.

Carl Pei tweeted, “Learn to love the notch,” with a link to an interview with technology site The Verge. He has since deleted the post after an outcry from OnePlus fans. Pete Lau, on the other hand, explained their decision to place a cutout on top of the OnePlus 6’s screen on their site’s forum.
Lau said that they “wanted to offer the biggest display possible without compromising on hardware.” They choose screens based on three factors: viewable area, panel performance, and scalability. And it just so happens that this time, a screen with an a la Apple iPhone X notch met those criteria.
He said they didn’t want to put the front camera other than the top-central part because it will affect the angle of the camera and compromise the speed and reliability of their Face Unlock feature — in what seems to be a shade to Xiaomi’s Mi MIX series.

A small module — like the one on the Essential Phone — will lower the quality of photos. And a mechanical pop-out selfie camera — like on the Vivo APEX — is a technology that’s still in its infancy stage, he wrote.
So OnePlus fans, unless Pei and Lau change their mind, you’ll be seeing a notch on the OnePlus 6.

The smartphone, as with most other flagship devices, is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The chip will be matched with 8GB of RAM and either 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal memory. And it will ship with a customized Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Serial leaker Evan Blass of technology site VentureBeat also tweeted this recently.
You’ve been **cough cough** good sports with this, so I suppose you do deserve /something/. Just remember: #yousawitherefirst pic.twitter.com/AWCHYZKJJE
