It’s no secret that Samsung makes the best smartphone displays. In fact, screen-calibration company DisplayMate Technologies in August crowned the Galaxy Note 8 as the handset with the best screen. It’s also one reason Apple uses Samsung OLED displays for the iPhone X.
Today, Samsung wants to remind everyone just that by subtly trolling the Google Pixel 2 XL, which features an LG-made P-OLED panel. Watch.

The bigger variant of the newly launched Google phone is facing several screen-related issues. It shows a blue tint, which affects the device’s viewing angles, and it suffers from burn in or permanent discoloration.

This while the smaller model, the Google Pixel 2, doesn’t have those problems at all. It’s made by HTC, but the OLED screen comes from Samsung Display.
The Google Pixel 2 XL, whose OLED panel is made by LG, is facing screen-related issues, while the Samsung-manufactured OLED display on the Google Pixel 2 has no problems at all.
So what better way to drive home the point that Samsung phones — the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8, in particular — are much deserving of people’s attention than compile what famous YouTubers have said about the devices’ screens. Without mentioning the new Google smartphones. Savage.
