A quick refresher
The just-announced Samsung Galaxy J7+ is the most expensive of the bunch, coming in at P19,990 or around $390. It’s the Korean tech giant’s second dual-camera phone after the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and its first in the midrange category. The main, RGB sensor is 13 megapixels, and the secondary, mono one is 5 megapixels.

As with the company’s P49,990 ($976) flagship device, the J7+ can take wide and closeup angles in one shot. It can likewise capture photos with bokeh effect through Live Focus, wherein you can adjust the degree of blurring before or after taking them.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, launched in July, is cheaper by P4,000 ($78) at P15,990 ($312). It’s also being marketed as a smartphone for mobile photography, what with a 13-megapixel rear camera that Samsung says is perfect for taking pictures at night, thanks to its f/1.7 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Core, on the other hand, is for a different market. The manufacturer is angling it as an entry-level handset for those who love to play mobile games. It’s priced at only P9,990 ($195), and as our review will tell you, it can take on most of the more graphically demanding games we currently play.
