After the HONOR X5b series‘ time in the spotlight, it’s time for a flagship refresh. HONOR Philippines has finally announced when the HONOR Magic7 Pro will officially launch in the Philippines.

The date to circle is April 10, when the company’s latest top-end smartphone will debut in the Philippines. This comes months after its initial launch this past January in international markets including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia.
Last year’s HONOR Magic6 Pro was priced at P59,999, or roughly $1,046, for the single configuration with 12GB of physical RAM and 512GB of storage. Considering the same configuration of the HONOR Magic7 Pro will be available at local retailers, we expect its price to be similar, perhaps slightly higher to account for Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G processor under the hood.
Like its predecessor, a major highlight is the flagship’s camera capabilities, and HONOR’s local arm is already comparing it to other high-end models on the market. In press materials sent to us, it compares the 100x AI SuperZoom feature of the HONOR Magic7 Pro to two other phones conspicuously named Brand S and Brand A.

It’s not difficult to guess which devices the company is referring to, and it’s clear that the Magic7 Pro outperformed them in this specific camera-zoom test. It’s also worth noting that this test was conducted at night, a challenging condition for most devices, particularly when zooming from long distances.
Having used the HONOR Magic7 Pro for nearly two months, we’ve been impressed with its camera system, which features a 50-megapixel main image sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and a 200-megapixel telephoto lens offering up to 30x hybrid zoom. Other key specifications include a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with a dedicated 3D sensor, a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader, a 5,850mAh silicon-carbon battery, and 100-watt super-fast wired charging.
