The toned-down version of realme‘s latest flagship GT series has sped onto the scene with a launch in China.
And what an entrance. Priced from ¥3,099 (roughly ₱24,620 or $425), the realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is now the most affordable smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G processor. It is crafted to meet the high performance and speed requirements of young gamers, after all.
The Racing Edition features a 6.78-inch BOE S2 OLED display with a micro-quad-curved design, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Note that the standard GT 7 Pro comes with a Samsung Eco² OLED Plus screen that offers 2,000 nits global brightness.

There’s a massive 6,500mAh battery here that supports 120-watt wired fast charging, so you can quickly power up your phone and get back to gaming or streaming in no time. Additionally, the battery supports bypass charging, a feature not available in the standard GT 7 Pro, which helps reduce heat during those intense gaming sessions.
Imaging-wise, the realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens on the back, plus a 16-megapixel shooter up front. While it doesn’t include the 50-megapixel LYT-600 periscope sensor found in the realme GT 7 Pro, it still offers a solid photography experience.
Another difference is the fingerprint sensor. While the regular variant boasts an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, the Racing Edition comes with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. Storage speeds also differ, with the GT 7 Pro featuring UFS 4.0, whereas the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition gets the faster UFS 4.1.
The company has likewise included features like dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IP68/69 rating for enhanced durability, and a sleek aluminium middle frame. The smartphone comes equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage and is available in Neptune Explorer Edition and Star Trail Titanium colors.
