What’s rumored to be the most affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone is coming in a few days.

(Update, February 14: The realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is official!)

According to realme, the realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition will debut in China on February 13. The upcoming model is expected to be a toned-down version of the standard realme GT 7 Pro, designed to cater to the needs of young gamers who demand high performance and speed. But it should still bring impressive performance, as an early Antutu benchmark score of 3,063,313 indicates.

The company has revealed two color variants for the Racing Edition. The Star Trail Titanium colorway features a sleek gray-black finish, while the Neptune Exploration Edition boasts a vibrant blue gradient design inspired by the blue storms of Neptune. We admit we find the latter more visually appealing.

Actual units of the Racing Edition?

Word has it that the realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution 120Hz 8T LTPO OLED display. The screen is designed to be efficient, thanks to Eco² OLED Plus technology, which adjusts power consumption based on the content being displayed.

At the back is a dual-camera configuration supposedly featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. What’s lacking is the telephoto lens found on its older sibling.

The realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is also expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations, including 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, along with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage options. This should allow for fast app loading times and seamless multitasking.

Battery life is another area where the yet-to-be-launched smartphone is said to shine. The device is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery and supports 120-watt wired charging, which should mean that you can expect a full charge in under 30 minutes.

Anyhow, the launch is only three days away from now. The wait shouldn’t be that long before we finally know the realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition’s price and specs.
