Last month, we published our review of the POCO X7, calling it a “compelling option for budget-minded consumers who aren’t willing to compromise on design or features.”
There’s obviously a lot to like about this phone, but we were most impressed by its performance. Xiaomi packed a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra inside, a midrange chip focused on both power and efficiency. Our tests bore that out: The POCO X7 nearly hit 700,000 on the Antutu Benchmark, breezed through everyday tasks like browsing and streaming, and even handled demanding games like Genshin Impact at medium settings reasonably well.
So, how does it really handle gaming? That’s what we wanted to find out. In our latest video, we put the POCO X7 through a gauntlet of five graphics-intensive games, complete with an FPS counter so you can see exactly what to expect.

Gaming test
One of the titles we threw at the smartphone was Bright Memory: Infinite. This Unreal Engine 4-powered game, also available on Steam, looks every bit like a console-level experience, with stunning visuals and fast-paced action. It’s a demanding game, to be sure. It’s the kind of title that can really push a mobile device to its limits.
So, how did the POCO X7 handle it? We won’t spoil the frame rates here — you’ll have to watch the video for the gameplay footage — but let’s just say we were pleasantly surprised. This X7 series model held its own, delivering a smooth and perfectly playable experience. If you’re curious about how a midrange phone handles a visually impressive, graphically intensive game like Bright Memory: Infinite, this is one test you won’t want to miss.
In the Philippines, the POCO X7 is priced at P14,999 (around $258 converted) for the 8GB/256GB model, while the 12GB/512GB model we tested goes for P16,999 ($293).
