So we at Revü Philippines have finally settled from our trip to Malaysia, where we witnessed Huawei globally announce products that are clearly designed to push boundaries and deliver a seamless user experience across the company’s ecosystem. And two of them are already confirmed to arrive in the Philippines on March 7.

The star of the show, without a doubt, is the Huawei Mate XT — or the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, as the technology giant calls it. We already shared our key takeaways from our experience using the device, but here’s an overview of what it offers: The world’s first tri-fold smartphone boasts the largest foldable display, measuring a massive 10.2 inches when fully unfolded. It’s remarkably thin, too, at just 3.6mm when folded.

The star of the show, the Huawei Mate XT

The key to this innovation? The Advanced Precision Hinge System, which Huawei says ensures durability and smooth transitions between the folded and unfolded states. The screen itself uses ultra-thin glass for both flexibility and resilience.

And with the Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera featuring a 10-size Adjustable Physical Aperture, giving you granular control over your images, you get the drift that the Huawei Mate XT has serious photography chops. Think DSLR-like control over depth of field. Not that any of us should be surprised — Huawei devices have gained a reputation as models aiming for professional-level photography capabilities.

You can secure your unit via an exclusive Huawei Online Store Early Deposit promo. Make a ₱5,000 (around $86) deposit, and you get an additional ₱5,000 ($86) discount on the foldable, plus a “1 Year 1 Time Accidental Screen Damage Protection” worth ₱29,999 ($517). Just pay the remaining balance anytime between February 28 and March 6, or a day ahead of the Philippine release.

Beyond the foldable marvel, the company also refreshed the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch tablet, giving us the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025. This edition is designed for productivity, blurring the lines between tablet and laptop. It will be released locally on March 7 as well.

Huawei is emphasizing the tablet’s suitability for professional work with the inclusion of PC-level WPS Office, where you can edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with desktop-like precision. The 2.8K resolution on that huge Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display is going to make visuals pop, and the 1,000 nits of brightness mean you can use the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 even outdoors.

And for creatives, the inclusion of Huawei Notes and GoPaint is a big deal. Think about sketching, designing, and editing directly on the tablet. The 10,100mAh battery and 65-watt Huawei SuperCharge tech mean you won’t be tethered to an outlet all day.

Available starting March 7

Huawei is also once again venturing into the open-ear audio space with the Huawei FreeArc earbuds. These aren’t your typical in-ear buds; they feature an open-ear design with earhooks, aiming for a comfortable and secure fit.

The brand has revived its iconic C-Bridge Design and incorporated 0.7mm high-performance nickel-titanium shape memory alloy, which adapts to your ear shape. The design aims for a 140-degree optimal triangle support.

The FreeArc boasts a 17x12mm high-sensitivity driver unit and a specialized acoustic structure for what Huawei calls “sterling sound.” They’re also IP57 water-resistant, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor activities.

On the fitness-tracking front, the company introduced the Huawei Band 10. This ultra-thin band focuses on holistic wellness, particularly sleep and emotional well-being. The Enhanced Sleep Health Assistant analyzes sleep patterns using HRV data and provides personalized insights and recommendations. The Emotional Wellbeing Assistant, on the other hand, monitors physiological changes and even features interactive pet-themed watch faces to visualize your mood.

Unfortunately, the Huawei Band 10 wasn’t on the show floor at the global launch venue or at the February 19 Huawei exhibit at the Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur, so we weren’t able to get our hands on it. But at least it’s confirmed that the wearable will be rolled out to Philippine stores in March.

No specific date yet, but it’s definitely coming in March

Anyhow, let’s not forget the e-wallet integration. The fact that GCash Watch Pay is coming to Huawei wearables is huge for convenience. Imagine paying for your groceries or commute just by tapping your wrist. This is the kind of seamless integration we expect from smart devices.

For us, the Huawei Innovative Product Launch is a show of commitment — that Huawei is committed to innovation and enhancing the user experience. And that it is pushing the boundaries of foldable technology, blurring the lines between tablets and laptops, and offering new approaches to audio and fitness tracking.
