Got your budget-conscious eye on a new 5G phone? HONOR Philippines might have something for you.
The brand’s local arm just launched the HONOR X9c Smart 5G, a more affordable spin-off from its midrange X series, is hitting the country next month.

Interestingly, the newly launched smartphone will be a “Shopee exclusive,” retailing for P10,799, or roughly $186 converted. That’s a noticeable dip from the standard model’s P16,990 ($293) local price tag, and it arrives just in time for Shopee’s 3.3 Super Brand Marathon sale kicking off on March 3. For those wanting to spread out payments, Shopee’s SPayLater option lets you purchase it for as low as P120 ($2) a day with zero-interest installments for up to three months.
In the Philippines, your color choices are Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan, and you’ll get a pretty generous 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the lone variant sold here. While the “Smart” in the name clearly signals a price cut, the specs sheet suggests you won’t be sacrificing too much to get it.

In fact, HONOR is keeping some of the X9c’s key features intact for the HONOR X9c Smart 5G. That “all-angle” durability the company’s been touting is still here, alongside a hefty 5,800mAh battery — good news for those who hate hunting for outlets while on the go. The impressive 108-megapixel main camera from the standard X9c also makes the cut. Software-wise, you’re still getting HONOR’s MagicOS 8.0 interface based on Android 14, which includes its take on Apple’s Dynamic Island, the Magic Capsule.
The screen is still a big 6.8-inch LCD pushing a crisp FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Elsewhere, a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset should be capable enough for everyday use. And while it’s not lightning-fast, the 5,800mAh battery gets a decent 35-watt wired charging speed.
