Antutu has just released its January 2025 leaderboard, showcasing the top-performing flagship and sub-flagship Android smartphones released in China.

Which devices emerged as frontrunners, and what chipsets power them? Let’s dive into the details for each category.

Top 10 flagship smartphones

Just like in December 2024, the chart-toppers were all using either a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G processor. But this time around, the vivo X200 Pro unseated the reigning champion, the RedMagic 10 Pro Plus, by achieving a monthly average benchmark score of 2,896,624. The gaming phone settled for third place.

Recall that the vivo X200 Pro, along with the vivo X200 and vivo X200 Pro mini, debuted in October 2024 as the world’s first Dimensity 9400 devices. The handset is currently priced at P69,999 (roughly $1,206) in the Philippines. Its chip comes with advanced AI capabilities; is constructed using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process; and incorporates a second-generation All Big Core design based on Arm’s v9.2 CPU architecture.

Four other Dimensity 9400-based smartphones entered the top 10, while the other five were powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite 5G SoC, led by the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro.

Top 10 sub-flagship smartphones

The January 2025 list for this category was dominated by devices featuring MediaTek processors. Seven of them, in fact.

Taking the No. 1 spot was Xiaomi‘s Redmi Turbo 4 with a 1,738,244 monthly average benchmark score. It was launched last month as the world’s first phone to use a Dimensity 8400-Ultra, which is the first “all big core” chip for premium phones committed to delivering flagship-level performance at an affordable price point.

The three non-MediaTek units that landed in the top 10 were built around Qualcomm chipsets. Second-placer OnePlus Ace 3V and third-placer realme GT Neo6 SE rely on a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, while seventh-placer Redmi Note 12 Turbo is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2.
