Hold on to your wallets — Apple has just launched the iPhone 16e, and it’s priced to impress from $599 in the United States and ₱39,990 in the Philippines. Joining the iPhone 16 family, the newly announced model promises to bring premium features to a more accessible price point.
At the heart of the Apple iPhone 16e is the A18 chip, the same powerhouse that drives its more expensive siblings, though with a slower four-core GPU. What’s cool is it supports Apple Intelligence. We think features like notification summaries, smarter Siri, and generative AI tools for photo cleanup and Genmoji creation are significant steps forward in making advanced AI capabilities accessible to more users.
There’s a 48-megapixel shooter on the back and a 12-megapixel one up front here. The device sticks with a single-lens setup, but with all the software magic Apple has been doing, your feed should look lit. Plus it’s got the company’s first-ever in-house 5G modem, the Apple C1. We expect the phone to be not just fast, but next-level fast.

Apple introduces the iPhone 16e
How about battery life? Apple claims the iPhone 16e can last up to 12 hours longer than the iPhone SE. That’s a whole lot of scrolling or watching your favorite shows without reaching for the charger. Just take note that this one doesn’t support MagSafe charging.
The smartphone keeps the 6.1-inch OLED display but with lower brightness and the old cutout. The American technology giant doesn’t offer many color options for it, instead letting us choose between the classic black and white shades.
In the U.S. and the Philippines, the three storage configurations of the Apple iPhone 16e are priced as follows:
- 128GB: $599, ₱39,990
- 256GB: $699, ₱46,990
- 512GB: $899, ₱58,990
Preorders will be live in 59 countries and regions — including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. — beginning February 21, with availability starting February 28. Unfortunately for those in the Philippines, no dates have been announced yet.
