The realme smartphone that survived our boiling test has made its way to the Philippines.
The realme C75 is now official in the country, promising not just top-notch performance but also setting new benchmarks in durability. You see, the newly launched C series model boasts three impressive industry-standard Ingress Protection ratings: IP69, IP68, and IP66. An IP rating essentially measures how well a device is protected against dust and water intrusion. The first digit, ranging from 0 to 6, represents the level of dust protection, while the second digit, ranging from 0 to 9, indicates the degree of water resistance.

Your next (worry-proof) smartphone? P.S. Please don’t try this at home. We urge you to always handle your phone with care and follow the manufacturer’s guidelines
With an IP68 rating, you can submerge the realme C75 up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. So, whether you accidentally drop it in a pool or want to take some cool underwater shots, you’re covered. The IP66 rating ensures resistance to powerful water pressure from any direction, making it virtually indestructible against water jets or accidental spills.
The IP69 rating is the highest level of protection available, so the realme C75 should be completely dustproof and can handle exposure to high-pressure water and high-temperature environments without breaking a sweat. This one’s significant, because this level of protection has rarely been seen in mainstream smartphones. Previously, such ratings were mostly reserved for rugged devices intended for extreme conditions. The cost of obtaining this certification has typically prevented its inclusion in more affordable models.
Beyond durability
The realme C75 is packed with a large battery rated at 6,000mAh, offering up to 12 hours of video playback and 5 hours of mobile gaming on a single charge. With the brand’s 45-watt SUPERVOOC Charge technology, you can restore the unit’s full battery capacity in just 90 minutes. And don’t worry about the battery wearing out quickly either; it’s designed to retain 80% health even after years of use.
Powering the handset is a 12nm MediaTek Helio G92 Max processor and Mali-G52 GPU. It comes with 8GB of base RAM, which can be expanded up to 24GB using Dynamic RAM Expansion technology. You also have the option of 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Let’s not forget the display and camera. The Android 14-based realme C75 features a 6.72-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, boasting a peak brightness of 690 nits. The camera setup includes dual 50-megapixel main and depth sensors on the rear, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera with Mini Capsule. Plus, the side fingerprint sensor ensures secure and quick access to your device.
Pricing and availability
Interested in a worry-proof experience? The realme C75 in either Lightning Gold or Storm Black is now available for purchase for as low as P8,999 (roughly $153) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Add P2,000 ($34) to get the version with double the storage.
And here’s a little something extra for the early birds: From January 24 to February 2, every purchase of the realme C75 comes with a free pair of TechLife Wireless Earbuds Neo worth P799 ($14). Additionally, flexible payment options are available through zero-interest installment plans for credit card holders and Home Credit users from January 23 to 31.
Of course, there’s always TikTok and Shopee for those who prefer to shop online.
