The OPPO Reno13 Series 5G is set to launch in the Philippines on January 31, but eager fans can already get their hands on the devices at select retail stores across the country.

OPPO‘s latest mainstream lineup comprises three models: the OPPO Reno13 F 5G, the middle-of-the-pack OPPO Reno13 5G, and the premium OPPO Reno13 Pro 5G. The Reno13 F 5G is the most affordable of the bunch, starting at P22,999 (around $395) for the 12GB/256GB model. A 12GB/512GB variant is also available for P25,999 ($446). The Reno13 5G and Reno13 Pro 5G, on the other hand, are priced at P34,999 ($601) and P43,999 ($755), respectively. Both models come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

OPPO has made some bold claims with its new Reno13 Series 5G. The company says this is the first Reno lineup with an IP69 rating, the highest level of protection against liquids and solids. This means you can supposedly take it for a swim in freshwater up to 2 meters deep for 30 minutes without needing a case. It’s an interesting proposition for jet-setters and content creators, or basically anyone who wants to capture underwater shots without any extra bulk.

An interesting proposition for jet-setters and content creators, or basically anyone who wants to capture underwater shots without the extra bulk

The camera system itself is centered around a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel selfie camera up front. Beyond the specs, OPPO is really pushing the Reno13 Series 5G as a “creative tool.” The company is drumming up things like AI Clarity Enhancer and AI Reflection Remover, which could help produce better images.

And then there’s the design. OPPO is calling it Butterfly Shadow Design, which basically translates to a two-tone finish with a mix of matte and glossy textures. The phones themselves are thin and light, too, which is always a plus.

That said, the OPPO Reno13 Series 5G is clearly targeting the fashion-conscious, Instagram (or TikTok?)-obsessed crowd with cash to burn. OPPO is banking on that sleek look and those software-based camera tricks to lure in buyers, but whether it’s actually worth the premium price tag is another story.
