OPPO is gearing up to drop a bunch of flagship devices with the launch going down sometime in February.
The company has been actively teasing its next foldable, the OPPO Find N5, on social media for the past few weeks. This device will probably land in the United States and other Western spots as the OnePlus Open 2, and it’s not coming alone — get ready for the OPPO Watch X2 and OPPO Find X8 Ultra, too!
Speaking of the X8 Ultra, OPPO’s shaking things up. This year’s Ultra is ditching the curved screen for a flat one. It’s also going to have super-skinny bezels, which, let’s face it, is pretty much standard when you’re dropping that much cash.

But let’s be real, everyone’s going to be staring at the OPPO Find N5. And for good reason: This thing is being billed as the “thinnest folding flagship” ever, though its exact dimensions are yet to be confirmed. When unfolded, it’s ridiculously thin — we’re talking almost as slim as a USB-C port and reportedly twice as thin as the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, judging from the images posted on Weibo and X. In fact, teasers show the Find N5 right next to the iPad Pro M4, Apple’s slimmest tablet yet. You can clearly see the difference in thickness below.
I can't believe how slim our latest foldable is.

We've pushed our engineering to ensure an optimal experience, folded or unfolded, and I can't wait for users to get their hands on it next month. #OPPOFindN5 pic.twitter.com/8j0zEO2gEf

Leaks suggest the OPPO Find N5 will boast a thickness of approximately 4mm when unfolded and about 9mm when folded, which is basically the same as most regular flagship smartphones. For context, the HONOR Magic V3, currently the industry’s thinnest foldable, has an unfolded thickness of 4.35mm.
In a separate development, details have emerged regarding the construction and durability of the upcoming foldable. OPPO’s next flagship is slated to be the first to incorporate a “3D-printed titanium-alloy hinge,” which should make for a seriously durable device. Additionally, it’s expected to offer IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 levels of water resistance. That’s the kind of rating that lets you take underwater photos, just like on some of the latest Find and Reno phones without the use of a special case or third-party app.
And to top it off, the Find N5 will supposedly support 50-watt wireless charging, and even reverse wireless charging. Basically, the company seems to be pulling out all the stops to make the OPPO Find N5 a genuinely compelling flagship foldable. We’ll know for sure next month.
