It’s not only the TECNO Phantom V Flip2 5G that’s coming to the Philippines in December. TECNO Mobile is also gearing up to launch another CAMON 30 series model.

According to the country’s No. 1 smartphone brand, the TECNO CAMON 30S is scheduled to go official in the country on the 12th.

You might recall the buzz around the CAMON 30S Pro and its unique UV-sensitive color-changing design. Well, the non-Pro version has followed in its footsteps, sporting that same head-turning look and a lot of the same impressive features.

The TECNO CAMON 30S boasts a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2460 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

In the camera department, the upcoming phone features a 50-megapixel main SONY IMX896 camera with optical image stabilization or OIS for clear and steady shots. This is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor for creating bokeh effects. On the front, the device sports a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

TECNO has equipped the CAMON 30S with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. It runs on Android 14 with the company’s HIOS 14 overlay and has helpful AI functions like AIGC Portrait and AI Eraser, as well as TECNO’s Universal Tone portrait algorithm for portraits with accurate skin tone restoration. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.

Powering the TECNO CAMON 30S is a MediaTek Helio G100 octa-core chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. This is coupled with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics processing. While the brand hasn’t announced yet what configuration it’s releasing here, the listing we spotted on Shopee Philippines shows the local variant has 8GB of expandable RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
